Kay Granger (TX-12)

Kay Granger is serving her thirteenth term in the House of Representatives and was recently named Chair of the Appropriations Committee. She was the first and Republican woman to represent Texas in Congress.  Kay Granger is a recognized advocate for keeping our military funded and strong. As Chairwoman of the State and Foreign Operations Subcommittee, she was one of the key people involved in the probe on the attack on the American diplomatic compound in Benghazi. Prior to serving in Congress, Kay Granger was a high school teacher and first female mayor of Fort Worth.
